Redefining The Lives Of Vulnerable Women
Bugasa Women Group was officially registered in 2012 and has been tirelessly working to support the most vulnerable women in Kampala's Namuwongo slum and surrounding areas. Our group brings together women who are struggling with basic needs such as food, shelter, and healthcare, and we work collectively to improve their economic situation and overall well-being
Our focus is on single mothers, women living with HIV/AIDS, and those who face daily challenges due to their socio-economic circumstances. By fostering a supportive community and providing access to resources, we aim to lift these women out of poverty and help them build better futures for themselves and their children.

The Need for a Shelter Home
The challenges faced by vulnerable women and their children in Uganda are immense. Many are victims of gender-based violence, forced marriages, unemployment, and the stigma of living with HIV/AIDS. These women often lack safe housing, legal protection, and access to healthcare, making it nearly impossible for them to break free from the cycle of poverty and abuse. To address these pressing issues, Bugasa Women Group is proposing the establishment of a shelter home that will serve as a rehabilitation center for vulnerable women and their children. This home will provide a safe and supportive environment where women can receive the necessary psychological, social, and legal support to rebuild their lives.
