The Need for a Shelter Home

The challenges faced by vulnerable women and their children in Uganda are immense. Many are victims of gender-based violence, forced marriages, unemployment, and the stigma of living with HIV/AIDS. These women often lack safe housing, legal protection, and access to healthcare, making it nearly impossible for them to break free from the cycle of poverty and abuse. To address these pressing issues, Bugasa Women Group is proposing the establishment of a shelter home that will serve as a rehabilitation center for vulnerable women and their children. This home will provide a safe and supportive environment where women can receive the necessary psychological, social, and legal support to rebuild their lives.

Project Goals and Objectives

Our primary goal is to create a shelter that accommodates and supports 40 vulnerable women and 60 children at any given time. The shelter will offer a range of services, including:
